What is the Not So Berry Challenge?
The Not So Berry Challenge is a legacy challenge created by lilsimsie. Each generation is a different color and has to complete certain tasks to "win" the generation. illusorythrall has created an extended version so that more of the newer packs are part of the challenge.
I love legacy families in the sims. it is my preferred play style. my longest generation was around 10 generations and the only reason i stopped was because the save got buggy.
I also love planning out my sims' lifes and giving them goals and aspirations so they have the best (or worst!) lives possible. So having each generation planned out tickles my brain.
My Berry Sims
I am trying find a photo of Fern but she's dead in the save so who knows if I can get her back. Basically she was a hippy scientist. She had a cat she adopted and she married Johnny Zest. They had five kids, and the daughter, Peony became the heir.
The rose gen is definitely the hardest, because while the tasks are super easy. Once they are done what do you do? When I was playing with Peony in the rose gen, I decided to do the extended version of this challenge as it added more tasks for her to complete. Peony's house has been my favorite so far, everything was pink and cost too much money. She finally married life-long love (and roommate) Perry Caliente once she became an elder. Then he died like a day later!
Sunny, of the Yellow Gen, went off to college with very little money as she was estranged from her mother. She dated a lot in college until she met Orion and they started a family together. Sunny is constantly trying to complete her space rock collections so Orion does most of the childminding.
Current Gens
Currently I am on the Yellow gen but Sunny does have 3 children for the grey generation. Sterling is currently my favorite pick for the heir.
